Default JetMoto 250, after a little work...

I noticed a BIG difference in second gear right on through the top end. My wife is off work today so she will be helping me shoot some more vid, and I will even put the front bumper back on for out of line...lol, maybe. I am looking for one off of a Hi-Bird, they look like YFZ 450 bumpers.

Now that's a cool video! I love the country, is that your property out front where you were riding and clear down the drive? Looks like a fun place to live. What's your altitude there? we ride at around 4500-6000 ft and have even been up to 11,000 on one ride and you could sure tell the lack of power up there!
I sure wish others would give us some more videos to watch, my 4 quads are trailered til spring so it's fun to watch others out playing!
What did you do to the exhaust, it sounds a bit more throaty! Oh ya glad to see the Bumper back on!

Yes it is ours... you really cannot tell it from the video, but our drive is 1/4 mile long. Well, 2.2 tenths technically. I think we are about 1500 ft. I live in an area that is between what we call the Sandhills of NC, and the foothills of the Appalachians. Actually, I am in the Uwharrie Mountain region.

The exhaust is kinda simple. Richen up the mixture, and pull the core and everything else out of it. Then, I found a washer that fit the circumference of the can, opened up the hole in the washer to 1.5", and then J.B. Welded it into the can about 1/3 of the way inside. This added some backpressure, and keeps the noise down a bit. This is a pretty good setup. Like I said, I ate up a stock 250ex, and a Rancher 350 on it the other day. It was fun, there was respect won. So now my moto is " Respect the Jet ".

Before we lined em' up, the guys were all Chinese this, Chinese that... then when I beat up on them, they were like " so what all have you done to it? " And I was like.... can't tell you, and they're like " What? ", and I said, Ancient Chinese Secret....lol. ( in all seriousness, get that head polished, clean out the can, and you will see alot of difference )

I don't know that I'm that ambitious; remember I have 4 Jets to keep going and to be honest its several hours work the day before we go riding. There just always seems something is needing attention on either the 250's or the 150's. We will see, perhaps this next year we won't be out on them so much and it will leave more time to make some mods. Wish you had taken some pics of your mods, we could have made you a web page to place them on so all could see just what you have done. Ya know looking at most of these Chinese 250's the heads are the same as ours by outer appearances and it's the cover on the cases that look different. So I'm sure many other Chinese 250's can use your same mods and get good results from it.
Let see some trail or hill climbing videos. We now have snow on the ground and it's 20deg out so I'm staying in!

I have thought about dumping the clutch on asphalt, but I have this vision of the chaing snapping in my head that will not allow me to do it...lol. I like the Nerfs his came with.

Did you happen to notice how low in the front end I was setting? Dropped the shock mounts to the lower hole. This combined with flipping the wheels, and modding the steering stops makes this thing turn on a $.05... a little tighter than a dime lol.
