I can seem to get the unit to start. The only way is to shoot some gas down the carb. Anyone else having issues

 

is it new, old. adjust carb air fuel mix screw. more info please

 

Brand new. Once the unit is running it is ok and idles and runs ok. Is the air fule the screw with the spring or is that just idle?

 

its a little screw no spring. thers only 2 screws
1st- with spring is idle
2nd fuel air mix
when looking at carb you will only see the slot where screwdriver goes. turn in (clock wise) slowly and when it seats turn out ( counter clock wise) 2 full turns. be easy when turning in dont I repeat donot turn tight just to seat it. mine did the same thing after alittle. ran like crap untill it warmed up. this will help. also you are using the choke right!

 

I must be a real dumb A_ _! Where is the choke. Not like the honda's we have.

 

mine is a little chrome rod on the carb. mine sticks out twords the left side sittinging on it. swings up for choke and down for off

Just in from the garage. It is -25 in Calgary today and it worked. Again thank you very much for the advise. Once I receive the coil for the ZMC 200r for my other son I might email you again.
