First time out on a trail
#1
Well it finally warmed up and the wife and I took the Vbike out for the first "real ride" . Fourche Mtn. Trail which is maintained by the Arkansas Forestry I think is 26 miles with camping areas and such ,which was originally made for horse back. It comprises of creeks , rocks , boulders , mountain climbing (some which look like 75% grades. Abandoned silver mines , valleys , many creeks, etc . are on the trail. WE rode double for about 10 miles thru some of this trail. I posted one pic on my galery along with the pics of the vbike. For a 250 cc Chinese quad , it didnt complain a bit even on the steepest grade. Of course we weren't flying either , only a few times did it make it to 3rd or4th gear. Just too rough and rocky. The wife is convinced now we are going to get her one ,so she dont have to ride double but can follow pursuit.
I cant brag enough on my "cheap Chinese import" for the money there is nothing at all wrong with it . I had more pics taken with the camera phone but somehow they didnt make it to the computer when saved . But, the one pic posted is coming off the top of one mountain at about a 65% grade ,going up was about 75% I think.

Good to hear everything went well. The nice thing is as she breaks in you should get a little more power. You have some beautiful country to ride in thats awsome. And as always the more pics the better lol.

Yeh its pretty neat up there, its really what one would call "back woods" . There is supposed to be some abandoned silver mines some where on that trail ,we only covered about a 1/3 of it tho and still didnt see any thing . Of course the Forestry isnt going to tell exactly where they are but I am itching to get a metal detector in there

I notice a big improvement on power and smoothness of the motor on my Mashin now that it has over 100 miles on it. Is seems like a new quad all over again. Glad to hear you are having fun. Hope to have fun here. Weather is starting to warm up now. Just need to get the trailer done now.
