Default Repacking Muffler

I want to repack my muffler cause i think its not packed enough and its a little too loud for a 250cc. But my question is how much do you pack and whats the correct way to pack it? I also heard that house insulation would work good or even better than the stuff they sell at shops any advice or suggestions would be great. Also can you just remove the end of muffler and repack?

When I pulled one of my 150 Jetmoto mufflers apart to rid it of a bad vibration noise I found some insulation rapped around the outer side of the inner perforated pipe! But only one of my 150's had it and it was almost all deteriorated and gone. The 250 muffler is the same except there are screws to remove instead of rivets like the 150's. I am not sure about the Fiberglass home insulation but I think it would do fine! Just not sure how much to put in there! I don't personally think the 250's are too loud but I know some other brands are quieter!
