90cc Quad Centrifugal Clutch Problem
The kids 90cc quad was jumped by there older cousin when I was not looking. They said the chain came off, and " they fixed it"!!!
Well truth be told the chutch does not disengage. It starts with the rear wheels in the air and the never stops spinning. Pulled the side case to get a look. It seems the disc is touching on the rear side with lots of clearance to the front. Did it get bent and if so is there a repair that can be made.
Thanks for any feedback

I would take a look at the variator or the front clutch. It is possible that the roller weights came out of place which will not let the clutch disengage. If this happened the front clutch would look like it is close together with the belt riding high. The rear clutch at idle should be closed or close together with the belt high. I haven't heard of the internal parts being bent like you explain not saying it can't happen though. Take a look at what I explained at repost what you find.

The spinning wheels with the rear off the ground doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. If the idle is set too high, the clutch will engage causing the rear wheels to spin. Does the motor die when the wheels are placed on the ground? Just trying to figure out what symptoms you are experiencing to make you think that there may be a problem.

90cc Quad Centrifugal Clutch Problem
Thanks hotblooded, tonight I was looking at the clutch and trying to figure how to get it apart. Decided to try giveing it a good hard twist to see what whould happen. It disengaged and started turing like normal and everything looks fine at this point. Put it back together, found a few other small things that need TLC, so did not start it up.
The quad is a China built noname. It has always ran great. Tighten nuts & bolts here & there. Several little things to fill my spare time repairing. Other then that it has been a good toy.
Thanks for the help. Sure I will be back with more questions.
