Bringing back the luster to the body

Bringing back the luster to the body
Ive got a Kazuma 150 Falcon. Bought it used, and the body was in great shape. I let it sit outside over the last summer and sinter. Now I have major fading and sun damage. Is there any way to bring back the luster? Oils? Waxes? Ribbing compound? Im referring to the ABS plastic, not the metal frame.
Related, is there a good way to rub out scratches? Im assuming rubbing compound will just make it worse.
Thanks

The best one I've seen is called Plastic Renew marketed by PC Racing. Basically it's a clearcoat finish that will stick to plastic (a very, very thin clearcoat - it takes about 8 coats to get it looking right). It also tal=kes a lot of prep work - sanding with fine paper and steel wool between coats.

For $100, I'd get the new plastic.
I used the plastic renew on an old LT50 that we used to have. I had hours and hours of sanding and buffing on just that small amount of plastic. Took so long that I'd sit and watch TV while wet sanding or buffing. Whie it did look much better than before, it still had some oxydation that would not come out. Plus, the PC renew is a surface coating, so it can chip and peal off in time.

If it is really bad you could do the following.........
1. buff with low speed buffer and foam pad or by hand with a micro-fiber and Meguiars fine cut buffing compound
2. after buffing hand wash the ATV to get the compound off and dry
3. apply Meguiars polish (red bottle) by hand with foam or micro-fiber
4. remove polish with new micro-fiber towel and buff to shine by hand
5. apply a good carnuba wax like Meguiars makes (red bottle)
6. remove wax with micro-fiber and enjoy your new shiny ABS fenders
Care must be taken not to get the ABS fenders hot when buffing, so only low speed or by hand when buffing.......
*If oxidation is not that bad and just has color fade, skip the buffing stage and go straight to the Meguiars polish then wax*
