GIO 50cc Quad...need something to keep chain from getting banged up
#1
Hi...Need a suggestion or two...We bought our daughter a GIO 50cc a few weeks ago, and we've finally had a chance to take it out for a real run....problem is that when the road is rutty or when there are rocks, she keeps snubbing up on them and bending the "chain guard" on it...My son's quad has a bit of metal tubing that prevents his chain and rear brake disc from being damaged if he snubs up on a rock or on "high ground". Anyone have any idea where I can get something to put on her bike to prevent damage to her chain and rear disc brake? Any suggestions would be a big help, especially from fellow Canadian riders ( Just because of shipping costs, of course )

find someone with some welding and metal fab equipment and make something up. Something that small would not be that expensive or time consuming to make, all you gotta do is come up with a close representation maybe out of cardboard or something then show it to your local welder or metal fabricator and they should be able to help you out.
