As the title states, I've got a 1987 LT50. I want to remove the oil injection and just premix my gas. Can I just pull the oil tank and plug the banjo fitting, or do I need to completely remove the pump from the engine case. If I just plug the banjo will the pump eventually eat itself as well as the case up from lack of lubrication? Any knowledgeable input would be helpful. I can't find my manual, so any help in steps needed would be appreciated.

I've kinda gotten that impression from reading the other posts also. My only concern is that the pump is driven off of the transmission, so eventually it will run out of lubrication and seize or eat a hole in the side case. I pulled the top portion of the pump off (the piece that has the spring and the small pin. Once it was removed I can see a small hole on the side. This must be where the premix went to the cylinder head. Should I try to plug this hole off and fill the pump cavity with oil and then cap it, or is it ok to just leave it empty. The bike runs really well right now, I just don't really trust oil injection. Plus I have to mix the gas for all of my other bikes anyways.
