remember changing one tooth on the counter shaft spocket is the same as 4 teeth on the rear, </end quote></div>
Good to know! Do you know how much speed I would scrub off by going down two teeth on the front sprocket. I would guess that as it's geared now, this quad will do high 30's, maybe even 40 mph.

Hi have 2 similar quads 110cc, one has clutch issues. Does anyone have a pic or diagram of this adjusting nut as I,ve looked everywhere on right side of engine and am unable to locate it.

We bought our 5 year old a small ULIKE 70cc machine this past weekend. Bought it off the showroom floor... of course for 100.00 extra the sales guy said they would get it all set up and running (one would think if it was on the floor they would have this done already...but thats another story) they said it would take about 20 min to half an hour to do this.... This smelled fishy to me, so I declined and told them I happen to have a neighbour who is experienced and a licensed automotive mechanic as well as also being licensed to work on motorcycles and heavy equipment, that would help me set it up.
Long story short, I am glad I didnt let the guy in the back set up this machine in "20 minutes" because it took the neighbour about 3 - 4 hours to go over the vehicle finding numerous issues with the set up or build that needed to be corrected, things like lines running across exhaust parts, speedometer not connected correctly, numerous loose nuts, missing bolts on the brake assembly, the rear brake cable was installed incorrectly etc... once that was done he then began to work on getting the engine adjusted to fire up. By this time another neighbour who also is a licensed mechanic joined in on the fun... they eventually got it all worked over and swapped out the supplied shipping oil with proper oil for the clutch system on this machine and fired up the engine, adjusted the governor for the little guy etc... certainly this setup took more than the 20 min to half hour, so I felt good that I knew mechanically the machine will be safe for the little guy to boot around our yard on...
We let the machine idle for about 30 - 40 minutes to clean out the carb etc.. then we noticed an oil leak coming from where the poster above mentions as well.
The mechanics didnt want to tear into the engine without at least having a diagram etc of what is inside the particular engine to know whats going on. From reading this forum it looks like its the clutch assembly, does anyone know if there are seals around this shaft etc? or could it simply be the clutch isnt adjusted correctly and this is whats letting the oil out? We did not want to make any adjustments to this without having the specs, but something is telling me there isnt many reapair manuals etc available on these machines. From studying photos etc, it would appear the engine is a perhaps a Loncin engine????
Of course when i emailed the dealer, the response was to load it up and take it 2 hours back to them to "look at it" of course with the high quality assembly they provided to a showroom model, lets just say I have far more trust in my neighbours of 10 years to help with the repair than going 2 hours (4 hours both ways) back to the dealer to take a look at it.
Other than this, so far the machine has provided good fun for my son. I realize these are not 4000 Suzuki's or CAN-AM, HONDA machines so I suspected to have some problems of the start and for what we paid for the machine I am really happy that he has something to learn on and help out in the yard, but at the same time I do not want oil dripping all over the interlock stone driveway and having to constantly monitor the oil levels etc...
Hopefully someone has some guidance!
Thanks in advance

my son has a jcl 110cc 3 speed auto and will have to say this thing has some real power. im 265lbs and this thing will take me up an hill with no trouble unless the tires start to spin. i have three chin atv and i have notice they all seem to feel like their slipping a top speed but i dont really think they are slipping i think its just the auto clutch feels this way a top speed. im loving these atv's but have notice that the frames are a little weak, but then again their not made to haul my big A?? around. only problem im having is with it jumping out of gear.

When you've made the clutch adjustment, should the Quad/Vehicle pull when Idling?....Mine! I mean my 'Little lads' pulls like a gooden when ticking over, you can't leave it without it pulling forward!!

Seeing how were on clutches. I was wondering what that adjustment was on the clutch side. It's a nut with a set screw in the center. Is this where you might adjust for slippage or? And how do you know this at proper adjustment ? It's on a giovani 110cc mini hummer. Thanks
I am guessing that means complete replacement.
