Do you have the correct plug cap.....(otherwords right top on the plug)
Some may have a terminal stud ...or terminal nut.......
With just the threads.............or with the nut installed........Something to check first!!
Did you have it running yet?
Maybe the top spark plug nut threaded off and is now stuck in the plug cap?
Does the spark plug "SNAP" into the cap?.........
.......caper.......

O.K. You said the top of the spark plug is threaded.........
Now make sure that little terminal nut did not come loose and get stuck into the plug cap....
Do worry if you can't find the nut for the top of the plug............Some don't use it........It may just snap into the plug cap with the terminal stud showing like you have.....Did you try and keep the plug attached to the wire when removed from the motor and ground the plug to the engine and try and pull of crank over...............Do you get spark that way ............Caper..........
