Default 110 sprocket question

I have posted this question before as well, and only heard crickets. I think the big difficulty with obtaining upgrade sprockets for these bikes, is that there are so many different Chinese atv makers out there, all with varying sprocket bolt patterns. Your best bet may be going to a machine shop. That is what I have considered doing, but haven't had it priced.

As for teeth, I prefer to alter the rear sprocket only, as changing it doesnt drastically affect performance as the front sprocket does. Just do alter the tooth count on both, as you can cancel out your changes.

Default 110 sprocket question

Depending on where your located, I have run into this with Chinese dirtbikes and had good luck at Royal Distributing. Bring in the sprocket and they were always able to find me what I wanted on the back shelf. Its going to come down to whether or not the people are willing to take the time to help.

I have managed to find a 13t front sprocket but I was hoping for 12t....will this do enough for more torque or should I go with the 12

Default 110 sprocket question

I just tried a 12 tooth this weekend on a TAOTAO 110cc. Very noticable increase in lowend torque. And it still goes way faster then I need.
Installation was fast and easy no mods needed.

Default 110 sprocket question

Thanks for the tip timkel. I don't know why I didn't think to look at changing the front sprocket instead of the back, due to availability. With these all being basically the same engines, the shaft for the front sprockets should be the same. I looked at the Rocketa, Kazuma, and TaoTao, and they all called for the same front sprocket.

This site looks pretty sweet, definitely a nice place to find Chinese parts.

going with a smaller front sprocket make 1st gear wind out sooner? my daughters Jetmoto 110 goes thru first gear quickly already and the motor really screams before shifting to 2nd. I was thinking moving to a 14t front sprocket to get better use of first gear.

Picked up the wheel spacers on e bay (don't remember the co.). Makes the quad tires 5" wider. I also added the teflon spacers to stop the chain from wearing into the frame. The sprockets were bought from KMS Motorsports Inc (Canada). Kazuma USA Parts Center, Kazuma Factory, Dealers. If I could do pictures I would show you an oversized rear sprocket and teflon slides for the chain.

has anyone ever converted the chinese front sprocket to a honda part number? I am told this can be done but none of the dealers in my area are very helpful in getting a number....

use a honda xr85r front sprocket for a 420 chain and a xr 100r sprocket for a 428 chain. Late 90s early 2000
