Youth racing quad
#11
I saw some Apex 50 and 90 quads at an MX race at the McLeod County Fair a few weeks ago, very nice looking mini, all set up to race, tires, suspension, exhaust, no more aftermarket needed to race right out of the box. The kids riding them were running fast, jumping the rythm section, sometimes doubling them !! They have about 6" or better travel, dual a arms up front, and a wide axle, I think the price is just under 4 grand for the 90, and 3 for the 50, which sounds like a lot, but for the most part, you will not have to upgrade anything, just break it in and race it. Maybe tweak the clutch for your kids racing style, and that would be about it.

One other thing to think about is if you are going to run an AMA sanctioned event and the age limits they have. If you are running an outlaw series the age thing doesn't reeally factor in as far as the rules.

look into westcoast atv they have some nice ones for well under 5000 my boy started out on a eton 40 at the age of 2 1/2 and then went to the 70 at 4 and now at 7 had the 70 built the 40 has been beating all stock 50cc that he raced against and it is stock exept for the dura blue +4 rear axle and never had a problem with eton exept for the key and the 70 goes bad once a season and now have it toggled
