Observation on new JetMoto 125-just arrived
#1
I just bought a JetMoto 125 for my son and have some observations I feel worthly of mentioning. This is not my first Chinese quad, I had bought my son a Kazuma 50 two years ago. I thought the Kazuma was a gamble but ran well and arrived as expected. The JetMoto arrives and I have many quality issues; first many parts of the frame paint is chipping/peeling away. I have no owners manual, certificate of origin/title, I am missing parts and the one I bought is not the one advertised on the web. The one on the web has the "Raptor style" headlights and mine is the one on the 150cc bike. Also the upper and lower plastics on the one side cannot attach since the upper was mfg without the tabs for the lower to attach. In additition I believe part of the exhaust is missing. The small center extension that comes out from the rear of the exhaust is missing on mine. From the looks of it it appears something was there, but not now. I have called Raceway to try to get things squared away. They are sending me some parts so I guess time will tell where I stand. Would you send the atv back for a replacement or wait to see if it comes together? I am not sure if they think I am complaining too much but I have some issues here. If my Kazuma showed up like this two years ago that would have been my last Chinese atv purchase.
I have the atv up and running and am impressed other than my issues. It actually holds and fits me fine and I am 190lbs. From that standpoint I am happy with the purchase, but these issues need to be resolved. From my experience between the one Kazuma purchase and the one JetMoto purchase-Kazuma makes a much better quality atv. The frame, rear guard, front guard were in much better condition as should be expected from a new purchase.
Either way I will still stick with a JetMoto since I think it will serve my son well for the price point. Has anyone bought aftermarket parts or upgraded anything on these? I would be interested in hearing what others have done.
