great timing...
I'm looking at the 125-D for my 9 year old daughter...
Talk me out of it...or into it *LOL*
what do I need to be made aware of?
Will this be too big for her?
Too small?
just right?
what do I need to know before I drop the cash on it? What do I need to be aware of that I'll need to fix, or know about when putting it together? I've never had a quad before...but I'm handy with tools...no problems working on engines, etc if necessary...

first off make shure you call vbike when you order he gives a better deal second plan on spending a weekend to assemble so you can have plenty of time to go over every part to use locktite and tighten every thing. Now for the good vbike tends to opt there quads with best combos of options now that might sound funny being a chinese quad but thats why one model may be close to a sunl and one may be close to roketa but the fact is there is only a few factorys in china building all of them and the importer picks the options and decals vbike has seemed to done there homework on what combos work for there price. Now for the bad they are not a honda or kawy and things such as uv protection on seats and grips and paint will not hold up sitting outside it will look 6 years old at 6 months so cover or garage it problem solved. Oil it comes with is crap run for 20 minutes idling drain and change to a good atv oil such as amsoil problem solved. The battery will be garbage too plan on buying a good one also a automatic battery tender will help. All the fuel lines will also become brittle and crack go to auto parts store and for a few dollars buy a couple feet of quality fuel line to have on hand or go ahead change not a big deal. Now for the big one the shipping the crate it will come in sucks make shure you have a digital camera on hand to take pictures and open it and check over before driver leaves . Now for the thousands you are saving these issues are small and from my experience with vbike they do stand behind there product also they are a registered dealer with the state of Ok. wich alot of internet sites are not creating registration nightmares!! as for the size for your daughter just remember iam 6 foot 230lbs and the 125d will cart me around over 25mph i hope i have helped a little and will be glad to help with any other questions.

Just another thing the 125d has a has a throtle stop scew you will want to find a nut to fit it so you can lock it down or it can vibrate loose and she will have full throt now it wont do the 45mph as avertised closer to 30mph also the remote kill switch is awsome you can also use it to lock the starting circuit so even with the key the kids cant go joy rideing

wow...thanks so much for the information...
I took her out to look at ATVs this weekend...she sat on a Raptor 90, and a Grizly (I think it was a Grizzly...Yamaha?) 125....she seemed to almost fit the 125...and the 90 was just right for her to grow into...how do the sizes compare to the 125-D? Would I be better off getting the 110 from a safety/comfort standpoint?

COOL the 125d is vary close in size to those two models when dealing with these smaller quads really only the body is different the frames are almost same the 125d has a vary wide frontend i would suggest rear wheel spacers that can be puchased from raceway atv as for engine size i would suggest going with the bigger and useing the throt stop so she can enjoy it for years. Now for the topic everyone will gripe about but is true the raptor 90 started this whole chinese atv thing when yamaha had yamoto build the small raptor we have one that my son loves everyone thinks its a yamaha cant kill the little thing . so when the jap companys are running these quads in the ground remember there the ones that put factorys there first to save on labor cost and still charge cadilac prices just thought you might be interested in that and by the way people honda is not a american company yes polaris is but i do not believe there kids quad is because my nephews have one and its always broke i would put any of my kids chinese quads up against it and have time and time again the polaris looses every time and sits in the yard broke now this is the kids quads we are talking about not adult machines but i would put the vbike 250-v4s wich i ride against a blaster anyday wich ive owned against a 300ex wich ive also owned no the honda is a much better machine but also cost 3000 dollars more ten years ago but if you are just riding trails and not jumping 10 feet off the ground and like to tinker these machines can supply tons of family fun without breaking the bank and thats what its all about . as far as the 125d it is what my 7 year old daughter rides i think youre daughter will love it .

Well i dont have a vbike but have some general questions about atvs. First off when i got mine Jetmoto 250cc it worked fine and small problems that were easy to fix. but wanted to see what you say. The dealer from where i bought had me play with the idle screw, air mix screw, throttle cable adjustment and the limiter. Know the bike runs good but i still feel it needs a fine tune adjustment by someone who actually knows what there doing or as been working with atv for a while. Know i think i have it adjusted the best but maybe you can give me some pointers on exactly how and in what order atvs should be adjusted. I havent messed with it for a while and this weekend some buddies are coming from out of town to ride and want to try to adjust it the best as possible again. Know here in Tx we ride at some place were there is red sand what PSI would you recommend to put all 4 tires so i can have best results. And would paddles help me out at all on a 250cc? Thanks in advance

First off as far as the carb user twomanytoys has done a great job on explaining the ajustment process under how to ajust my carb if you still have problems message me and i will try to help. Now for tire pressure these tires have alot of plastic content making them stiff but lower air pressure on the rears will help a little as for the best solution a good set of brand name atv tires will work best something with a softer compound so you can air them down for more bite and also try for a flater tread section instead the balloon nobby these quads come with it will give you much more stabilaty in the corners now as far as paddels there great for sand dunes but thats about it so i would try for a better overall design i am sure there are alot of good suggestions on this forum for this. I hope this helps

know i do have a question on the throttle lever theres a screw is that to limit the speed? and if i take off the screw will it mess anything up? Also how much play should you have on the throttle lever before it revs
