i have a 6sunx.150GCA it has no spark. my buddy has a carter bros cart with the same motor and wireing. swaped out the cdi box from mine to his, his ran, did the same with the coil. so i know those 2 parts are good. got a new pick-up/stator. installed it. still no spark. does anyone know where i can find a wireing diagram ? or sumthing that will tell me where i should have power ? checked my buddys cart while its running and i dont see power at the coil. checked with test lite and dvom. this machine goes against everything i have been tought since 83.

any help woul be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!

I think your engine is a 150cc GY6 just like my quad. If so, your CDI should look like the following picture:

Use your DVM to measure the kill switch wire resistance to engine ground with the ignition switch on, but *not* cranking. It should read open, or infinite resistance. It must not read zero ohms. If you have trouble with access to the kill switch wire you can unplug the CDI and measure the kill switch pin in the wiring harness (CDI need not be connected).

If you look to the left of this post under my avatar, name, and posting history you will see a camera icon. Click on this and you will see thumbnail pics of my hensim 150cc quad wiring diagram. Click on those to see full size images. Your quad wiring is probably very similar.

Report back and we can go from there.

I forgot this in my last post...

Test lights and DVM measurements on the coil primary are worthless. The voltages here are short duration high frequency pulses. Voltmeters aren't built to measure this kind of waveform.
