Default 49cc giovanni

There is a guy on e-bay in BC selling brand new 49CC giovanni mini quads for $49.00 + ~150 shipping. They are 2 stroke and apparently the last remaining stock as new 2 strokes cannot be imported into north america anymore. Are they any good or complete junk? What about other 49-50 cc mini quads, are some better than others?

All depends on what your kid is going to be doing with it. If he is young and light and this is his first quad then it's not a bad choice. Be prepared to do little mechanical maintenance on it if you purchase it. Since the bike comes with some assembly required make sure you know what you are doing or get help putting it together. This seems to be the biggest problem. People don't just through them together and then complain that they are junk.

In most cases I always fall back on the saying, you get what you pay for. This quad will not be worth very much in two years it is worth anything. I have a GIO 110cc for my 9 year old son. I am hoping he can get 2 years out of it. If he is still riding and interested then we will look at something else for him. I am all so using this GIO to teach him about maintenance so I don't mind the repairs. If my son really likes this then I plan on him getting a paper route or something to save some money contribute to his next ATV.

For me this cheap Chinese ATV's fit perfectly into the life lessons that wanted to teach my son.
