Default 03 Sportsman 90 mods

I'm getting ready to order a new hi rev cdi box and 90cc performance coil for my sons 90. I've been looking around and I have found some from hot seat performance/speedwerx, that I really like. Has anybody order or done business with them and can you tell me about there products. Also I going to order the hetrick racing air box relocation kit. I live in kentucky and we're about 4000 ft above sea level, what would be the best jetting for my carb. The bike is all stock except for the above mods I'm getting ready to do.

Why would jetting change?
I'm curious, what made you decide to get a CDI first?

the reason i'm changing the cdi first. my stator burned up and destoryed the cdi box. polaris wants $126.00 for a new one. i can get the hi rev cdi box for around $80.00-$90.00 depending on where i get it. i work for a motor cycle dealership, and when we change air filters to a more free flowkit its best to rejet to get the most out of the mod. so i was under the assumption the same thing applied to quads. the hetrick racing air relocation kit lets more air in so i thought it would be best to rejet for that mod.

You MAY have to rejet thanks to the improved intake airflow. But remember, the exhaust also restricts airflow. If the exhaust is the limiting factor now, opening up the intake won't change that. The only way to know for sure is a WOT plug chop.

I presume you've confirmed there are no restrictors on the engine, correct? IIRC the Pred90 only has the CDI jumper (purely electrical) but I'd still check the intake and exhaust ports on the cylinder to make certain there aren't any mechanical air restrictions there.

Report back!

Thanks for the in put WAATV. But I have checked and removed all the restrictions the bike has. The reason I'm getting a new cdi box and coil is because the stator went bad an burned the old cdi box up. replacing the coil is just to get a hot spark. The muffler is stock. I don't want to race the bike. Just trying to get a let more speed with out spending alot. I have drilled holes in the end of the stock exhaust to let it breath better. For the air box, I dont like wheres its at. We ride in a lot of creeks. Just trying to get it up and out of the way.

Thanks
