Default Predator 50cc

I just bought a Polaris Predator 50 for my son. When I bought it used from the dealership they said that when I run it with the throttle limiter on that it might start running sluggish. They said to turn the throttle screw all the way out and rev the engine up and down to fix this issue. That worked the first couple times but now the fix takes longer. Does anybody know why this happens and another possible fix for this?

I wonder if the plug is starting to foul from being idled around.....next time try changing the plug instead of revving the engine up.....see if that does the same thing.

Other then that maybe the carb is loading up.....maybe it needs cleaned/adjusted.

Thanks. I bought four spark plugs to keep around for spares. After changing the SP it continued to bog down at full throttle at first but I continued to run it at full throttle and it slowly worked the gas that was in there out. Since my son has picked up driving the atv quickly it is now not throttle restricted and this will hopefully not be a problem much longer.

Think maybe its fuel related??? Try running premium fuel and some SeaFoam or something thru it, couldnt hurt any.

Ive never had a problem with this on my China wheelers or my Suzukis......even the Suzuki LT80 which is 2 stroke is happy to putz around with no issues or fouled plugs.

Maybe some jets are partially clogged or starting to become that way.....
