Anybody know of any reasonable ways to increase horsepowere/speed on a 2004 polaris predator 50. My sons been riding it for a less than a year and while he has far from outgrown its size... he is starting to get bored with it. I was hoping to find a way to make it a little funner and to challange his abilities. Any suggestions would be appreciated... The easier to complete the better as i am mechanically inclined... but far from a mechanic.

 

New pipe, cdi box, bigger carb, check to see if manufacture exhaust is not restricted from cylinder(usually a cap or casted into exhaust, less restricted air filter as manufacturer air box is very restricted. tune clutch to engage at a higher rpm. Visit hetrickracing.com they have many goodies.

 

if the manufacturer exhaust is capped and i remove it are there any side effects. Is it a lot louder or is it hard on anything.
