gio 110 atv will not start! Please Help!
#1
I just got a gio 110 hummer and it runs but lately it wont start without a boost. I have a charger and done a trickle charge on the battery and it says it's charged. When I go to start it, the bike responses like the battery is dead! But if I boost it, it fires right up. I don't want my kids to go any distance because they may not start again. This is my second one atv, and the first one is doing it now too, go figure. Any ideas, please!
Thanks

This sounds like the same problem as in this thread from the last couple of days:

Do the battery test decribed therein, and see if you have a dead battery or a bad connection. Report back your results and we'll go from there

It may be that your charging system isn't working, or it may be that you just got a defective battery or two. Measure the charging voltage as outlined in the linked post and see. My quad battery quit after 4 months. My neighbors quad is still on the same battery two years later. Same model quad from the same dealer.
If you find the charging system is not working then the next step will be to measure the regulator AC input voltage to see if it is OK or not.
Note: I'm leaving for the east coast tomorrow I won't be back until Sunday. I'll most likely be off line until then.
