Ok Jack or whoever has experience with these things,
I obviously want more pick-up with this LT80 without sacrificing too much speed so do I change the following items yes or no? I've already pulled the restrictor out of the exhaust. Are there any other "hidden" restrictors on the LT80?
1. Air filter - K&N or Uni
2. New Spark Plug NGK type Iridium
3. Boyesen Reeds
4. Up the main jet
5. Gearing - go from 520 to 428 chain and change the sprocket ratio how? - should I buy the Midwestmini.com speed kit?
6. Pull 2 rollers out of clutch
Thanks for your opinions,
Troy

1) stock works just fine but you can put anything inyou want. Preferably a foam filter.
2)BR8HIX
3)good idea
4)DOWN on main jet size. 92.5 is stock you can go to a 90 with no problem.
5)For low end grunt, stock gearing is fine.
6)Sure.
7) Cut rear clutch shoes to 180 grams each.
8) Shave the head .030
9) Remove the bolt in the bottom of the pipe.

Thanks Jack,
I was under the impression that you hated the stock chain and gearing? It looks like I'll just throw some reeds in, pull the bolt in the exhaust, and maybe a foam filter and be done with her. Is going to a 90 mail a necessity for a better running machine? I could do the main at the same time as the reeds then.
Also, cutting the clutch shoes and shaving the head would be bit out of my league. I don't have the tools to measure either of those procedures.
Thanks for the help.
