Default LT80 Wheel Flip

I heard you can flip the wheels on a LT80 to gain a little width. Is that all there is to it, just flip them around. Is there anything else that is needed to be done?

Sorry for the rookie questions..

I've done this on our LTZ50 but am not sure about the LT80. I just picked up a set of 2" wheel spacers for the front off of Ebay and it has helped out quite a bit. A good $20 investment.

2" on each side, so you widened 4"?

I've been looking at the 2.5" spacers or getting new wheels and tires...$400.00 on wheels and tires for a quad that my daughter will outgrow in two years hurts a little. I'll probably do the spacers for now.

Thanks!

Yes I went 2" on each side for a total of 4". On the back we already have aftermarket rims that have larger offset so I only put the spacers on the front.

You can flip the rear tires.
The air valve hits if you try flipping the front tires.

I've seen that quite a few times. It works well.

You can also try Mid west Minis Spacers also LT80 PARTS

WideRide kits consist of high quality CNC machined 4140 steel spacers, clear coated for excellent corrosion resistance and durability. All you have to do is remove your wheel, tighten the spacers on the stock studs and replace the wheel. In just a few minutes you can radically alter the look and ride of your stock machine. The weight and load is equally supported across the hub so it is a very strong system. It has been extensively tested in racing over the past 7 years with no failures whatsoever. Wider is better, so get WideRide today!

I may have a set for sale next week.

THose are nearly identical to the ones you can pick up on Ebay but you'll pay about 3x the cost. LOL...

Thats 59.95 + shipping per set. Ebay 25.00 shipped have held up great on my kids for a year so far. At that price point you may want to start looking at the stronger but heavier disc style.
