the jets allow the right air fuel mixture into the engine the one you took out it sounds like was your run jet but the idle jet is most commen to get plugged because of its size once you get it cleaned out get it started see how it runs then turn the screw in if its to low and not wanting to idle or if its idling to high turn out

I think I need a spark plug.

The plug has a very small plug, and it looks fouled.

The carb clean worked great. The plug is getting wet, you can smell the gas exhausting...

It's just not starting , at all. NOT just a little, for a few seconds. Not at ALL!

I tested the spark by using a spark tester. It's yellow - has ground wire..

They get spark..

But it's still not working..

Does it matter if it gets spark?

put the coil wire on the spark plug, ground the spark plug up against the jug/cylinder/head. hold it there and crank the engine. this will ground the plug and should show you a spark. i never trusted a tester..

Yep, it has spark.

The plug is wet. Spark is present..
It's getting gas - you can smell it.

It's getting air - it comes out with the plug out.

I don't understand what else can be the problem.....

have you verified the choke operation? is it truly backwards or what? seeing how this is a cold start, make sure the choke engages. unless you gave it another shot of starting fluid........if so, did it try to fire up?

I've read all the replies and everyone is giving great advice. Have you empty gas tank and replace fresh gas?

The gas is fresh. It'll be the second time I flushed the gas..

This is getting gas.

The choke works.

But, I found the other jet. :P

It was the big piece that was in the bowl!

I didn't clean that before. I couldn't see daylight.
So it's still soaking.. I'm sure the carb cleaner is gone. Evaporated.

But will that cause it not to work? Becuase the spark was getting gas!
