Default Yamaha Breeze Problem

I have an 04 Breeze that has been giving me trouble. So I was out riding with the Girlfriend (probably overloading it) and it stoped pulling very well. The engine would run just fine if it was in neutral, and in reverse. But when put in Forward it would go about 3-4 mph and then would try to die (engine would cut out and then idle back up). It never would go past about 5mph. Stayed running at idle and such but just won't go very fast. Like I said, it did fine up to about 3mph and then it would be going fine and then the engine would stop firing. . .

I left it sit for about a month and then started it back up and it seemed to do fine??? I didn't ride it for more than about 5 min though. THe temperatures are also around 20-30deg (I don't know if that matters or not).

One more thing, the quad has been hard starting for a while. It takes about 25-30 revolutions of the starter to get it to go. I have to pull the choke out and then feather the throttle to get it to fire up. Once it is running and gets warm it is fine.

Could this be a carb issue (a jet plugged)? Has me thinking possibly because it would run fine until it required some gas and maybe it wasn't getting it. . . The other thought I had was something is wrong with the V belt or something in the transmission.

Any help would be great, thanks!
