How to clean rubber intake assembly??

Default How to clean rubber intake assembly??

i was wondering if anybody has some good tips on cleaning the rubber intake pieces. thats one thing i never could figure out. after scrubbing forever. let it dry. dirt is still visible. my dad suggested putting in dishwasher????? i mean, it hasnt been sucking gas and oil up. its just dirt. i dunno?? any tricks?

Wipe it down with WD40, it makes it look nice and black.

hmm. will try it later today. just got some glass beads to sandblast exhaust and then paint it. does wd40 asctually clean it or just do a real good lube job..lol

Stick it in the dishwasher then WD it.
For some reason, the rubber stains.

WD40 is a good cleaner, works well on plastic also.

loaded it up today...looks good. gonna try to post a pic

what do you guys think...def didnt look like this when i got it
i actually sanded the plastics. they werent cracked at all but had rough grooves in them. so i sanded it all smooth, took all warning tags off and repainted it. has a rougher texture than what it looks like in the pic but still looks alot better than it did. now if you hit a briar patch, you wont even notice a thing. lol
