Hi! Like I said, I'm a mom trying to get my son's atv running. I am NOT a mechanic, do not have a volt meter & can't find anyone to work on this for me!! PLEASE HELP if you can!! Kill switch is off... has gas... battery is charged, connections to battery look good, I push the start button & it just clicks from the starter. I don't see any wires messed up or anything. I'm getting desperate & my son is devastated. ANY help will be very much appreciated.

**************** ALSO- the starter is what is clicking... I tried jumping it with a screwdriver & nothing happened...still just clicked!!

 

You battery may be bad if it is more than 2 years old - I have mine on a trickle charger for awiles and it showed full charge. I took it out to run around and it just clicked. I hooked it back up to the charger and it showed charging and only slightly turned over. New batter put in and it started right up, no issues.

I would take the battery out, take it to your local shop and ask them to test it for you.
