trx90 suspension mods
#1
Hi,
Recently got my son a trx 90 2011 model.
he loves it so far but while riding alongside him on the beach i noted that the suspension especially the rear is far to stiff for his weight , bumps i couldnt even feel on the DS were kicking him out of the seat. I aired down his tyres to help but i really want to get an adjustable shock on it so i can at least dial out the preload and set up some sag.
Any one tried the conversion that allows the 300ex front shock to be fitted to hte rear of the 90 , or any other ideas ??

IMO, If a stock 90 shock is too stiff, what's a 300 shock supposed to do!?
Hetrick Racing or Baldwin Motorsports for aftermarket shocks.
PEP's are the best.
Maybe Motowoz.I hear good things about them.
GThunder stock rebuilds are awsome.

thanks i will check it out,
I saw the kit advertised that claimed the 300ex front shock with some brackets would allow a lower spring rate than the 90 ex rear shock as the 300 was adjustable for preload.
seems like a cheaper option than going for a full blown after market shock but if after market is the way to go thats what i will go for . shame honda dont make kids quads with adjustable pre load , kids do tend to be all different sizes,
it sits down ok with me on it but im 175 lbs surely not its intended pay load.
