Question 125 cc Question

I am looking at getting a mini for my daughters for Christmas. There is a dealer close that sells a Cougar 125. Just curious if anyone has heard of a Cougar? The guy said that it was a division of Honda. Price he gave me was 995.00. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions on a mini.

Thanks
Kevin

it will be a chinese clone of a honda. if you're bound to get an "off brand", then do Eton. they're a knock off of polaris and are taiwanese. i've had several and love'em along with my name brand ones. i don't know about the cougars, maybe those owners can chime in. either that or buy her a used name brand or take advantage of yamaha/polaris/honda sales and buy her a new name brand seeing how you're getting at least a 125cc. that 125cc yamaha grizzly is stout machine. search atv trader online for good deals also.

looks like a ok machine for a import. Has a 3 year warranty on the engine only not sure what the rest is? did not say on the website. One thing i noticed is it sounds like they may have a manual trans? you may want to look for a auto i find them way more fun. I find it quite clumsy to try shifting with your foot, run the clutch, and throttle, all while hitting the ruts and bumps. I don't know how many times i have bent the shiftier on the GF machine

Ask about services such as oil changes. Do they have to be performed by dealer for warranty or can u do it yourself. get them to go over the operation and starting so u know where all safety's are. Not sure if it has adjustable springs on it but maby get them to go over adjusting with u so u can adjust properly for weight.

Not sure how old your girl is but may want to look at getting one of those orange safety flags mounted.

It is not a division of Honda at that price. If he will not tell the truth about that, go somewhere else.
