Hi all, I just bought my son a Coolster 125CC (red spider) ATV. The person at the shop told me that there is a way to extend the ATV kill switch length by just adding more wire to the current antenna and running it up to a flag on the back , does anyone know if this is possible? If so what kind of wire do I need to get and is it easy as just connecting a longer wire to the antenna?

 

If it does work you will need the same diameter wire that the current antenna is. Not sure it will work. most things that have a permanent antenna like that actually get worse reception the longer you make it. They are unlike portable radios that are designed to change antennas for better reception. When you put the longer wire on it do a range test before and after. Then you may have to start cutting the wire shorter to find the sweet spot.
