It's Running!!!! Thank you everyone for all your help and suggestions. The issue ended up be two fold. Once the keeper on the stator had sheered off and the Timing was off.

The pic below shows how bad the timing was off.

Once I fixed those two things it fired right up..... BUT
It seems to be idling high and when I take the brake off it gets faster!! Any ideas on how to change the idle?

That's a first. I've never seen a key shear on a LT80.
Youi can try the idle adjustment. The cable might be too tight on the cap. Then needle adjustment if the first 2 don't work.

New problem. Smh once it warms up (second lap around the house) it starts pigging then Boggs and turns off. Let it cool down and it fires right up and runs like a champ until it gets warm and does the same thing. I did notice there is no fan on the fly wheel. Would that cause this?

Stop driving it till you get a fan!
That confirms my thought that someone was into this machine.

Put a fan on it and lasts A little longer but ends up doing the same thing.

Did you put the timing back where it needs to be?
If so, time to ohm the stator/cdi/coil

Which part...I'll explain both. LOL
1) I was looking at the pic again and I noticed the position of the stator and it's way off.
Under the scew at the 9 o'clock position, there are lines on the case and stator. Those lines need to be aligned to have the timing be correct.
2) To check the electronics, you use a ohm meter to see if they are in spec.

So you bought this as a non runner. I'm thinking that there will be a electric problem.
It appears that someone tried adjusting the timing to make it run. This is where they did something wrong and the key broke. How ta heck they did whatever amazes me.
Hot and quit is usually electric.
Manual says:: stator:: 173 +/- 20%
coil/CDI:: 12.- 17.5

I guess I should have just done a complete rebuild to save some headaches. The pic above was before I set the timing. I double checked timing and the marks are lined up. I will test the stator and cdi and post results.

Thanks again for all the help! I feel alot better now that i have made some head way!
