Default So is TaoTao the best choice?

So If you were going to buy a new Chinese 110 unit for around $400 shipped to your door, which one would it be?

Thinking of giving this unit a try -

110cc atvs

I would buy a used Eton or other name brand quad for that price before I would buy one of those. That's just me though.

I'd pay as much as it took to get into a quad the kid can ride dependably.
A chinese cheapo can be used but wrenches will be your friend. If you're not mechanically inclined, you're in trouble.

Kids want to ride, not wait for parts to come in the mail. $800.00 often will get a serviceable 80s or 90s Japanese machine.

Default Well I really wanted

folks to be able to say "they used to be xxx, but now they're GREAT!". However it is not to be. I expected QA/QC to have improved over the several years they've been made. Eventually they should make a GOOD product if they're trying.

Search your local craigslist for a Suzuki LT80 and they will carry on with the sport for the rest of their lives

Or find a Honda 90 fourtrax, those things were pretty bulletproof too.

Personally...I'd stick with a 2-stroke whatever...the crap these things go through I just prefer the ease of engine maintenance over a thumper...IMHO
