LT80 Carb problems
First I want to thank everyone on here for all the help I have gotten so far just from reading archived post! I have decided to join the forums because I am at a loss on this problem. 1996 LT80, stock motor, carb has been replaced but I believe it is stock as it has the vacuum ports on it. When I bought the quad it had the common petcock problem. Someone had added a plastic fuel cutoff and everything was fine, never even had to cut it off, no case flooding problems. I added a fuel filter and the fuel line became "crowded looking" and just looked awful so I decided to replace the petcock. Based upon Jack's recommendations I purchased a new, OEM, Yamaha Banshee petcock and installed it. One thing I did notice was when I pulled the fuel line from the carb the brass fitting came out with the line. I could not see any solder marks or anything like that so I just pushed it back into the carb. All new fuel line and filter, looked good and clean. First thing that happened was the case flooded while my daughter was riding it. I found that I had to just barely open the petcock and everything was great. Now even with the petcock barely open I have a steady drip at the bowl of the carb. It runs like a scalded dog but is leaking pretty good. The fuel is not coming from the drain line either

Any chance you could better trace the leak? You mentioned the brass nipple pulling out with the fuel line...curious if fuel is leaking from there. A strong light will help...
After adding the petcock, you plugged the vacuum lines...correct?
Our LT80 has flooding issues as well...I crack the petcock a bit and all is good, but always shut it off when not running.
