On our last atv trip I noticed when my 9 year old was driving the Outlaw 110, his front tires looked like they were ready to break off due to the extreme angle they were at (the top of the tires were angled in and the bottom of the tires were angled out. I have pictures below that show what they looked like ( I can replicate this when I sit on the atv, i am 265 lbs..) The second picture is when i grab the front end and pull it up, it looks normal then. but this still happens when my 70 lb son rides it.
What is causing this?
Does something need to be replaced?
On a side now, I even bought new front shocks that are a stronger, but this did not fix the issue.
And this morning I did a toe alignment, but this only adjusts the toe angle, but did not correct the issue.
Well you have the springs set at the lowest setting, so setting them to the highest would help. However I would have thought new springs would have worked better than that, on the top picture the upper parts are coil bound, which shouldn't be the case with no load. Are you sure you got the correct shocks? If setting the springs doesn't work, buy stronger new ones. Strange fault, most owners of Chinese Kids Quads complain their springs are too strong. If the A arms are rubber bushed, check that they haven't been tightened in the position of the first picture, they should be set so they are tightened up as in the second picture, though I would not have thought they would cause a condition as dramatic as that.
I'm having the same issue with a 2018 Sportsman 110. Wicked bad sag in the front. Did you end up finding anything broken or did you replace the shocks? If you solved the issue please let me know what you did or the parts you bought.
