Where to buy PZ19 carb
#1
I am looking to replace the stock Keihin PTE 16MM carb on the KFX50 with a PZ19 carburetor that has a manual choke.
Amazon and ebay are flooded with cheap Chinese carbs and I can't find a genuine Keihin PZ19 anywhere. There are a couple of KF Standard of Japan carbs, but I've read elsewhere that these are Chinese fakes as well.
Where do you find a good quality PZ19 carb?

If you are going "non standard" you may need to tune any new carb you buy. So why not go cheap Chinese? They usually work OK but need tuning to suit your engine. Alternative is to check if you can get a manual choke kit for your existing carb. Going from a 16mm to 19mm may be a bit big though.

So I tried a PZ16 carb first, which bolted on, but 1) had a slightly smaller inlet diameter going to the air filter, 2) drain valve on the bottom was very close to the engine, 3) has a smaller carb cap, so you would need a new throttle cable.
Then I switched to a PZ19 carb which fit better. Swapped my pilot jet, but had to go up from my 88 stock main jet to a 90 main jet. Needle is on the second position from the bottom to the top.
