Default LT80 clutch tuning

Hello all. I am looking for some information on clutch tuning. So far we have 1mm overbore, FMF pipe, boyeson reeds, and 20 mm Mikuni carb with open Uni air element. It makes plenty of power. We tried removing 2 rollers. It just revs out its mind and never gets into higher hear ratio. Easy enough we will put them back in. I am looking for information on the 180g rear clutch shoe mod. First, what does it do? Second, do you couple it with removing rollers? Thirdly, where exactly do you take the weight off? Does anyone have any pictures where you take the material off? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hiya .. don't know if I can post a link to another site. This is from about 15 yrs ago. Credit to all the folks in the thread.

The first picture listed showes where the end of the shoe was cut off & the lightening holes drilled. Good info in the thread.

I use 4 rollers with the lightened rear clutch.
