Default Which atv for son's first?

I'am going to buy my son his first quad this summer and was wanting opinion's as to what to get him. He is almost 8, is 4' 2" and weigh's 60#. Do you think it would be suitable to start him off with an 80 or should I go with a 50? Thank's to all who reply!

Dinli Diamondback, DRR 90, Kasea 90 or Polaris 90.

I think he's big enough for an 80cc.
I also think you know which one I'd recommend
Good luck and have fun

for sure go with the 80 they grow to fast, and to be buyiong a machine every year is costly. we started out with pw 80's 2 years ago and then a kx 65 all short lived for a quad a honda 90 we (adults) didn't like how it got stuck a lot. so we got one a blaster and the other a Lt80 , well two weeks ago we picked up a honda 400 and that is the ticket for the 10 year old, but then the 7 year old asks to ride it and guess what she was able to ride it just fine three trys and she had the clutch figured out. my kids seem to run a little on the long side so there bodys fit the bigger machine better, and it is a little heavy on the suspension for the boy but he seems to be working his way into a good fit, and since it will fit him basically forever he should adjust to it nicely. we will be waiting on the girl but she wants to ride the blaster seems they are like adults they all want to go a little faster. so with tyhe size of your kid i'd go for the slightly larger size. i know the Lt80 to be a great little quad, the other seem great as long as you can get parts.

a 90 or 80 would be good. how about the raptor80. your son would really like its looks. as far as reverse i dont think youll need it. just pick up the quad and move it, or pick up the front end and turn it. thats what my feind witha 250X does and thats weighs 400LBS. this weighs like what 120??? im not sure about the raptor80s handleing but if its his first he will just br so thrilled to be on one. or how about the predator90. your son would love riding something modeled after a "big boys toy".

-I'm not knocking the Raptor 80 but......take a look at the front suspension before you plunk down any cash.

IF stock speed is what you are looking for then get the DRR 90. If you want the best engine to modify, get a Dinli Diamondback. If you want the best customer support, get a Predator 90. If you want the foot brake, get a Kasea Skyhawk. If you want your youngun' to cry, get a Raptor 80!
