I asked one guy to send me a pic of his moto and he sent me a file photo of a speed. then woulden't return my e mails.

 

a dr. smith tried to rip me off a couple of months ago on my lone star 250r. wanted to send me 15,000 and i was to use 4000 dollars to ship it. the catch was he wanted me to deposit the fake 15,000 money order into my account and then send his shipping agent 4,000 to pay for the shipping. problem is the 15,000 is worthless and the four thousand for shipping charges would be taken out of my account by the bank no matter that the 15,000 money order was bad. so i would have been out of $4000. it takes about three weeks for an out of country money order to clear and about a week for the money order to clear if it's in the us. i told the guy i would send the money order as soon as it cleared my bank. lol he never returned my emails after that. for those of you that don't know,a money order is worthless until your bank has cleared it.

 

Same guy tried to get me and my brother Buddah. I had two 12k Banshee's for sale..

 

be careful of these scam artists. I had read something about this a while back and there was even a chain mail going around about them. If I remember right, they are working out of Africa somewhere. They scam people into depositing the money into their account and give nothing in return. I am surprised they cannot track them down some how.

 

Actually now that you guys mentioned it that happened to me on my 250R I was selling. I didnt realize that was what was going on but I guess it was. I had sold it before it became anything to them. The person that was mailing me just said my client said he liked the look or my client is interested. But they were from africa. Like I said luckly I sold it first but I really didn't know thats what they were doing but I guess it was. I am glad I didnt try to go through with it.
I think I am just going to keep my bike now, I just dont think I am ready to get out of it yet. I was just bummed cause I missed all the nationals so far and that was my goal for this year. I see all my friends names in the mags and wish I had the money and time to run them. It sucks knowing that you race against them all the time locally and there going to finishing top ten nationally.

 

i know this is a little off topic, but i saw the yfz450 today in the local dealership. i was pretty impressed. it was the white one with the candy apple frame. i would have to say that it will be the closest thing to the cdales by far. it had the narrow front gas tank like i wish my cdale had. i think it will give us some tight competition in the future. i would say the motor is equal to ours. i am not selling my new 03 cdale period,but my friend has a blown motor on his 250r and i would rather see him sell his bike and buy a yfz450. i paid $7000 formy 03' cannibal in august of 2002. that was with them installing a full hmf exhaust and installing the motto map. plus another $4000 for the upgrades listed below. lol
