No they arent the same. The 1000 throttlebody has the Idle Air Control Valve.I think you could use the 1000 throttlebodyon either.Just wont have the IACV hooked up since their is no wiring for it.

The 1000 TB was also changed to reduce the sharp on/off hit of the 500 right? The hit never bothers me til i get tired.
IMCA, if you install this on a 500, please post the results.
27, are you running the MC1000?

Ryanstones all they did to smooth out the hit was change the throttlewheel (where cable attaches)you could do this to your 500 throttlebody.I will look and see if we have any of the throttlewheels around.I have the 1000.

Doh! that would be great! I wonder if ATK might have them?

Also, I have never adjusted my MC500, and have still never fouled a plug(CR8) or had ANY starting problems. Still, i would think it's a bit rich. Which way do you turn the screw and how much? Engine tuning I don't know.

Merry Christmas 27!

That screw is real touchy.Dont ever move it more than 1/8 turn.I believe there is like a cone shaped graph right above the allen screw.Turning it towards wider part of graph makes it richer.

Merry Christmas to you also
