Hello, my friend is going to be buying one of these quads used real soon, he has a deal on a Cannibal for $3500 and a slightly modded Z400, both are new 03-04, the Cannibal has maxxis razr2's and nerfs, the z400 has douglas .190 with razr2s, kill switch and tons more..which one is the better quad and if you could list the top speeds on each of them..and does a cannibal have reverse?and are they loud?

 

No Cannondale has reverse.

It's hard to recommend a Cannondale to anyone without knowing them personally. There are alot of things to consider.

First of all, The Cannondale is going to require a very different approach regarding maintenance and repair. If he isn't mechanically inclined, I would suggest him go with the Z and never look back.

As far as top speed, the Z isn't even close.

 

but i read the z has faster acceleration, but with out a doubt the cannibal has more top speed.

 

No way a Z accelerates faster.

 

Where in the world did you read the Z had faster acceleration than any of the Cannondale's????????

Stock for stock or piped for piped they aren't even close, the Cannondale slaughters it. But now that I have done extensive work to my Z it rips my Speed a new hole!....(still doesn't handle like it though!)

 

forget the z get the freaking cannondale they dominate over all other z's

 

thats funny i havent really seen them when alot of races.

 

The only thing a cannibal has over a z is ultra strong frame ,axle and much more stock power. Most of them came with the cheapo shocks on them to. If your lucky it might have the ohlins setup. If it has all the updates with a balanced crank then maybe. Other wise look for a better model or go with the z.
