shocks for cannibal

Not much for the rear . You can throw on any front off of a 400ex,z400,250r. Are you missing a rear? There are plenty of the stock ohlins and fox podiums floating around. Id stick with the premium ohlins rear shocks.

thanx man. but no i am not missing one, hell i dont even own a cannondale...yet. but i will be soon to get one and i was looking at some elkas and nothing ever says anything about cannondale. it just lists like 400ex, 250r, z400, 450r and stuff so i wanted to know if they were interchangable. so, i can order an elka 400ex and put it on rite? o and also do you know where you can get the front number plates off of the moto and blaze to put on a cannibal?

Number plates can be had at atk, black widow atv, haydug cycles, ebay,.
Many aftermarket companies do make shocks for dales .You just have to ask for them. It just that most Dales came from the factory with with ohlins shocks so the demand for aftermarket was never there. I had a set of elka long travel shocks on my moto but I prefer the ohlins so I traded for a set of stockers. The elkas were good for trail riding but didnt have the adjustabilty of the ohlins .

so if you were racing mx would you rather have the stock cannibal front shocks (i will be putting triple rate springs on the stock shocks) or some cheap elka triple rates with out rezzies? and if you prefer the elkas just a little more, are they even worth the money then since i will be putting different springs on the stocks?

No the rear from a 400ex will not work. They are different lengths. The 400ex has a rear linkage and the cannondale does not. I don't know if this is the difference in the handling or if the width is the difference in the handling but I wish I had the cannondales power with the 400ex's handling.

I am not saying the rear shock on a cannondale is poor quality. I am saying that something is differant in the way the energy is transfered to the ground that effects the handling. I just feel that my old 400ex handled better. It was also underpowered. We play around on ponds in the winter time. On the Ice we run a oval track. I feel that I could put the 400ex any where in the corner I would like to. I do not feel that way with the cannondale. But this last winter my wife got a picture of me coming out of a corner in a slide with the front tires off the ice. My 400ex would not even think of doing that.
