Default updates??

i am looking to get a fx400, but i dont want to make the same mistake that a lot of other people did and didn't know about all the updates. I was wondering if anyone could tell me all the updates i would have to do to this quad and app. how much would it cost to keep my quad reliable? also i know there are a lot of people on this forum who really know cannondales and could you tell me what octane to run on what oil to use what filters to use and stuff like that? Thanks a lot!

Default updates??

For an FX I would send the motor to timbomoose in Erie, PA or Haydug cycles in WV and have them check it out. there were problems with the one crank bearing that can be upgraded. The rest of the updates you can do yourself like motormount update(if its an FX you probly wont need it), the FXs should be upgraded to the 1000 ECU for ease of fuel adjustments with a D&M of course, check out the tech page on c-daleriders for all the updates.

you could easy do about $1,000 with a good motor overhaul and it would be just as relieable as a 300ex.

gas on a stock engine you can run 93 ocatne and you'll be fine. For oil you should use a high quality sythetic in the engine and Redline superlight gear oil in the tranny.

I use a scotts stainless filter in the engine side there people out there that will only use paper filters you can get from Blackwidow ATV. tranny filter is a stainless that the factory provided.

Default updates??

I have an early 02 cannibal and an 05 ATK wich is a reconstructed 03 cannibal. LIke I said the bst thing to do would be to send the motor to doug or tim and have them take a gander at it to make sure it has the good setup.

I love both of my quads, my next project I want to get is one of the ATK dirt bikes.
