ok i am getting a canondale im just worried about the reliability of them are they going to hold up throught a beating or not????
If not i dont want one i love the quad put if its not reliable i wont have it!!! i woud be using it for MX racing and like enduro racing stuff like that! what updates are required??? how much would that cost?? please let me know everything oh and r the 2002 engines better than the rest??
1 more question how would you calabrate the canondale on your comupter??? how much is the hard wear to tune the bike that goes into the laptop???
my main concern is the reliability if they were as reliable as the 400ex i woud jump all over it!!! but i dont think they are!! please let me know everything to set me up so i have years and years with my dale with no trouble!!!
oh also should i buy a used one that says it has all the updates??? and look for one that has a new crank put in it???
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

If you are willing to do what it takes you can have yourself a very nice reliable quad. Being an ex Honda FANATIC I have have made the switch and take my Cannondales on lengthy rides(300+miles a week) without worry. After doing everything possible for reliabilty they have easily performed better than any previous quad I have ever owned. Before the updates I did run into virtually all the little problems which there is now a fix for.
Fuel orings swelling in the quick connects, swingarm pivot bolts breaking, broken headlight bulb, ect. Virtually all issues have been adressed and now all new purchasers get to benefit from all the post bankrupcy lessons we have learned from.
The choice is yours... buy a stock Cannondale and ignore updates and repeat past problems or spend a little extra ,get it all taken care right away and ride .
I seriously doubt you will ever find a Dale for sale with every reliablity update. Once done most will not sell them.
Cannondales have changed so much in the last year they should almost have a new name for them.
