I have read the specs on it but I cant remember. Dont guess it would matter to me anyhow, Until I got a Raptor I got along fine without reverse on my Banshees and 400ex. It is a nice feature though.Id be willing to trade it for electric start. I bet kicking over the FX will be a feat with the 12.5 comp. I know kicking a 426 over will put some hair oin your a**

It has electric starter (with no kick or recoil as backup), and no reverse...it's a race machine, not a trail dog.

 

The fx400 has no reverse,still not ready for racing(to tall and not wide enough),shocks arent good enough for racing,and it sells for 8g's somthing wrong here dont yah think? for the extra it would cost to deck it out just think of the 400ex or raptor you could have.

 

Mtecate4g; How much was it for those add ons you list for your raptor. I would think the quad and all that might be 8g if not more. And I think FX is still sitting lower after all that!

 

actually mine sits lower than a stock 400ex. And my total investment as of now is about 7800. Sorry i wasnt trying to dis your quad. just think some people should realize that no matter what no one will make a production full race bike. if they did they would go out of buisness like Rebel star. it has to be more user friendly and just wanted to prove a point that it is not a production racer. And sick of some guys calling my raptor a sissy bike cause it has reverse.

 

In the great northeast Ohio. The best deal I found on a raptor was 6950.00 out the door. The FX was 7995.00 out the door with the first servicing free. Set both quads side-by-side and then tell me one not worth a grand more than the other. They are 2 differant type quads for 2 differant types of riding. I have a stable of newer quads, the next one (very shortly) is going to be a raptor, I love rev. on a quad! It gona make a good woods rider for me. Someday I will have one quad for every type of riding. Still my favorit all-around out of 9 of them sofar is my yellow 01 500 4x4 scrambler, it not good at any thing, but it does everthing.
