know much about the bike at all.Im trying to find out if their
any fuel inj. changes between the 2001fx and 2002fx.Can anyone
help.Should I look for anything that would let me know that the
factory problems have been fixed.

There is no FX400 for 2002. The 2002 is the Cannibal and all issues have been taken care of, at least they appear to be. If you get the Cannibal with the upgraded shocks & wheels then it is identical to the FX400. If you don't get the wheels then you get an upgraded Rev limiter, same as Speed. At least, that's what I was told. Good luck!!

While I wouldnt call that a GREAT price, its not bad. I think retail was 7495.00 What is of GREAT importance is whether or not the updates have been done. How big is this shop? Can they actually do the upgrades? If the upgrades are not done they will have to be. The ball kjoints were an actual recall , so by law they should be done for safety's sake. The spindles and bushings were just something Cdale thought needed to be done so the machine would perform very well. Before you make a decision, find out. Good choice on the bike. You wont be sorry.

Look at the tie rod ends,if they look like normal ends (an enclosed socket and ball is the only way I can discribe a normal end) they haven't been updated. If they look weird kind of like a heim joint, open with no dust boot to where you can see everything and how the ends work they have been upgraded. The new ends also have grease zerks. If the production # is high the bushings have been replaced from the factory. I would have the dealer call Cannondale with the prod.# and see if Cannondale did any upgrades before shipping it out. If some were not done and the dealer hasn't done any then I would wait untill they did do the upgrades. Also if the tie rod ends are new so are the ball joints, these updates were done together. The front end is a little stiff and slow rebouding. especialy when new. When you jump the stiffness goes away, sometimes alittle to much if you know what I mean. If it is sticking though it needs updates. Good Luck special. You will have a special quad, there is nothing like it.
