Cannibal compared to a DS650
#1
I have now enough time on my DS to compare my two bikes.
Low End Power-Tie
Mid Range-DS
Top End-Cannibal
Shifting-Cannibal
Engine Notes--DS hits the Rev limiter Really easy.
Handling-Tie
Power Slides-Tie
Jumping-Cannibal
Stability-DS
Hill Climbing-DS
Handling Notes--The DS is better for riding the Ash Dumps & Wide open spaces, and the Cannibal is better in the Woods
Brakes-Cannibal
Suspension-Tie
Traction-Cannibal
Comfort-DS
Overall--if I am riding alot of woods I take the Cannibal out, but if I'm just riding Ash Dumps or its Muddy out I'll go for the DS, If I could only pick one it would be the Cannibal. Don't get me wrong I love my DS too, just for different reasons.

Great review Kodiak01, I've never rode a DS(way to big for me, but good for larger riders). I've always heard the DS is one heck of a quad. I'm glad to see you like the Cannibal over all. Oh, and about the Engine Notes, It is hard to hit the rev. limiter on the Cannondales isn't it. I swear when I had enough and had to see just where it kicked in I dropped my head and almost closed my eyes fearing the worse. I found it and I'm glad I did, now I know that the quad realy starts pulling hard if you shift later, right before the rev limiter kicks in.

Well CdaleRacer, I'm by no means a big person I'm 5'8 140lbs so as I said I'm a pretty small person, And another note It is extremely hard to hit the rev limiter on the Cannibal, especially when on the trail.

Great review Kodiac! Cool to hear an informed comparison of each bikes strengths.
I've got about 5 riding hours on my cannibal now Sand, and yes I am having trouble adjusting to the nonlinear throttle response at low speeds. I am not sure if it is just me, my quad, or a combination of the fuel injection and high compression. I really feel like the quad is lurching sometimes. I adjusted the throttle free play today and did have some improvement. What are other owners experiencing?
I am completely thrilled by this bikes performance!

I rode my FX sunday and had a backfire problem. This was the firt
time the bike was riden.I checked it over and found alot of loose
nuts@bolts.The four nuts holding the exaust pipe to the head were
so loose they were falling off. After I tightened them the backfire
was gone and I had more HP.
