I have an '02 Raptor. I did seriously consider the C-dales, but I am leary of the EFI and the only dealer in the area has a poor reputation. I had a street bike that had EFI and was less than impressed by it. Sure, it has its benefits, but for a quad, I would rather have an old fashioned carb that I can service easily and work on.

 

I feel the same way about the EFI. I wanted a C-Dale but I'm not sure about the EFI and dealers are so far away. I was considering a Raptor because it seems like they fixed the problems for 02, but the new Suzuki seems bad *** so my mind is pretty much made up.

 

I like the new Suzuki also, but I wanted to get something this fall and I am always hesitant to buy anything in its first year. Just look at what happened with the Raptor and its transmission. What are you riding right now? An LT250R? Did you say that was for sale?

 

Yeah I have a modified '91 for sale, but also have a '88 lt250r with '90 engine but it still needs a little work.

 

How much and what kind of mods?

 

It's got a long list of mods. but some are Pro Design cool head, 22cc dome, tether kill switch, super cooler, FMF pipes and silencer, Boyesen Rad valve with carbon fiber reeds, bored 60 over, wiseco pro lite piston to match, Keihin 38 air striker carb(brand new), tons of jets, RAD racing bearing carrier with tapered bearings and grease zerk, PRM gab bar bash guard and full coverage skid plate(brand new). Bunch of otherstuff too. Not sure on the price yet so if you or anyone you know is interested you can make me an offer. I can also send pics and the whole list of mods.
