If it was, your dealer should have already performed all the recalls, they are not suppose to sell any units until all recalls are completed (I know from a hard lesson on this one).

 

Hell yes the exhaust is hot and I'm sure steam would come off it. In fact, after a short period of time, your silencer will discolor in the middle from the heat, this is normal. I would not pour any more water on your hot exhaust unless you want to crack it!!

I love the lights and think they are perfect. My pipe only changes colors when it is hot, when it cools down it goes back to normal. I got it used, it is the one in cycletrader located in Greensburg, PA.

We only raced about 50 yards because that is the biggest straight away around and I dusted him(he has a White bros. R4, K&amp;N, and jetting). He said I killed him off the line and it was not even close, all he said he could see was my Holeshots spraying roost all over him. The second time I stalled(I just learned how to ride a clutch). He was about 1/4 of the way done when I got going, I shifted into third and flew by him again. This thing SCREAMS! It will wheelie VERY easily in third gear.
The engine sounds really funny like it is going to fall apart any second. A question I have for you is right by the bumper is what I think is the vin number. The last three digits are 236, so is this under the recall of the steering stem or whatever was recalled? I like the noise actually, it sounds completely different than the 400ex. I like how it starts really easily with the little green button, that set up is a lot better than the others. I would really like it if they would give the Cannibal a neutral light but that does not matter that much. I thought it jumped great with the Ohlin shocks. I got it used(just broken in, maybe 1 hour of riding)and the guy had set the front shocks really loose so when I did an endo I about broke my arms. I have pics I will try to post at exriders on my friend's digital camera depending on when he can get his email back working.
I love this bike and am happy I did not get the Raptor. I love the looks of that stock muffler so I don't think I will ever pipe it. This is one sick stock bike! >>

Since you bought it used take it to your local dealer and have them confirm that the recalls have been taken care of. While your there, go ahead and have them do an oil change and make sure they check everything out. The previous owner might have messed somethin up and you wouldn't want to make a small problem bigger.

 

The funny thing is that I say I am getting a Raptor, just a Raptor, and when I don't get it they say I said I was getting all of those. Oh well, be safe on that air cooled beast of yours.

No, Corndog or Sleeping Catfish or whatever your name is. You said at EXRiders that you definitely had a '02 Raptor that was kept at your parents 2nd home that you use to vacation at. When I asked you to supply either a VIN or a picture with you on the bike your story suddenly changed to you almost bought the Raptor but the guy backed out of the deal. All this after a week of swearing to having a Raptor and bad mouthing all other quads. You can run around to different message boards talking junk about &quot;I've got number 236, are the recalls done on this bike&quot; but we all know better. Crimany, I can go to my local exotic car dealership and get a VIN number and then come on here and say &quot;My Lambo Diablo number 005 is very nice, I like the little red low oil pressure light.&quot;

Also, what does your friends email got to do with you posting pics? You don't email pics to EXRiders to post them, you just post them so your friends lack of email service is bogus.
