went and picked up the financing papers today so my fingers are crossed

the question i have, there is a 2002 cannibal there with the ohlin shocks. i thought i read somewhere they changed some engine bearings between the years. was that on the FX400 only? or did it include the cannibal? i want to make sure i dont buy the cannibal if the engine bearings are going to be different than the newer models.
thanks

While there are many changes from the 01 'dales to the 02's, I don't recall any bearing issue.
If the 'bull you are looking at has the ohlins and the 1000 ECU, computer, you've got the best of all worlds.
Even the 500 series ECU is fine if the price is right. The hydraulic clutch would be nice too. But not essential. Rode my warrior for a while today and it was awful. I love my cannibal!
Good luck.

The bearing change was on the first run of the 01 FX models.

I don't know where this hydraulic clutch stuff started but all C'dales have hydraulic clutches, even the FX400.

The FX400 and early Cannibals do not have a hydraulic clutch. All new Cannondales have the hydraulic clutch.

I believe you are correct, my bad. I even had an FX400, I just assumed it had a hydraulic clutch, it was so easy to engage.
