of course the dealer said he would mail the dipstick tuesday but it turns out he mailed it friday. I am going riding w/ a friend tommarrow and need some help. could someone measure the distance down from the place where the cap screws in to the correct range of oil on the dipstick? you need to do it from the top of the place where it screws in to the optimal range on the dip stick so i can measure mine w/ something else. thanks.

p.s. make sure your engine is cold.

It's exactly 2 1/2" from the tip of the dipstick (the bottom end that sits in the oil) to the shoulder, the part that screws down tight and seals.

2 1/2" is at the very bottom of the oil check, make sure you're oil is up a little above that measurement.

The best advise that I could give you is to skip the ride. There will be more days to go riding.

I agree, no sense in destroying a 7000 dollar quad for a few hours of riding.

CornDog, not trying to sound like a d1ck but, just be thankful you are fortunate enough to own one of these machines. Oh I was just wondering, are you paying for it yourself or are your parents helping you? The reason I ask is because I need to find a way to get my mom to help me get one, because there are obsolutely 0 jobs for me right now, and I know of a place that will give her a loan for something like 9000 dollars and $180 a month but she doesn't think she could afford the payments, even though if I sold my trike and 500 frame I could get another 2000 dollars and pay off her loan she has right now, and buy a Cannibal, but I can't get it through to her, help me out guys. Oh and just so you know, I am not getting it for "free" I have to babysit my lil bro about 4 hours a day everyday, so I think this is fair.
