Hey Trout,
I live in Greeley and VDR is right by me. I have been riding there since 88. I have some questions for you. I really like the cannondale but right now I am trying to justify the purchase of one. Right now the only thing that I have that is half way sporty is a 2000 Scrambler 400 with quite a few mods it's just not enough on the speed side of things. I have a few other Polaris utility quads as well. The riding that we do is mostly trails and rocky ones at that. I raced motorcross for about five years and would like to race again. Here is the deal. I like four wheelers and want to go fast. If I could find a quad that was as fast as my CR250's were that would be great. I still want to be able to ride trails with it though. I would like to race but there is no sanctioned races for atv's that I can find anywhere near here. So I am caught in the dilema of do I buy another quad or do I buy a new race bike. How many people do you know of around here that might want to race. If there were enough of us we could ask the SRAC or AMA to let us run in some of their events. I know you haven't had yours for very long but I would like to hear your opinions on it and possibly how it seems to compare to others quads that you ride with around here. Also I noticed some of you C-dale owners have other quads similar to mine and would like to hear your thoughts of comparisons between the to as far as rocky trails go. I know there is no comparison on a track.
Thanks

honestly colorado,
I havent riden any rocky terrain, but I have ridden at the track and the C-dale is nearly as fast as any motorcycle, it is obviously heavier but it is scary fast. I too plan on riding trails more than anything else, once the snow melts. I thnik Grand Junction is going to be my stomping grounds, and the front range. I dont anticipate any problems, the ground clearance is only 5 inches and change, but tire placement is huge for that factor. as far as racing goes, im not really into racing for racing, but I do like going to the track and riding, it is the best place to do jumps, andthis thing jump incredibly well. A motorcycle would be fun too though, I havent ridden one much but ther esure are alot of them at the tack and on the trails. Hope that helped
